Community Development Director
The American Planning Association Massachusetts Chapter is seeking a Community Development Director for the Town of Adams. The role involves managing community and economic development programs, implementing land use policies, and overseeing the CDBG program to support the Town's development goals.

Responsibilities
Manage the Town’s community and economic development programs to meet the Town’s growth and development goals
Manage and provide technical expertise in the development and implementation of municipal land use policies
Manage the Town’s ongoing CDBG program, including the Adams Housing Rehabilitation Program
Identify/obtain state and federal financial resources to advance the Town’s community and economic development objectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in related field
8-10 years of progressively responsible experience in project management and/or local planning
Sufficient knowledge of community/economic development concepts and land use management
Experience in program development
Experience in project management
Experience in identifying/obtaining state and federal financial resources to advance the Town's community and economic development objectives
Ability to multi-task
Ability to set goals
Ability to employ a strategic approach to planning and managing multiple, complex issues
