Simmons Foods is seeking an EDI Analyst to support, maintain, and improve their Electronic Data Interchange systems. The role focuses on ensuring efficient document exchange between the company and its trading partners while collaborating with internal and external teams to troubleshoot issues and implement new connections.

Responsibilities

Monitor daily EDI transmissions to ensure successful and accurate document exchange (e.g., 850,855,856,810)

Investigate and resolve EDI errors, transmission failures, and work with SPS Commerce on any mapping issues

Coordinate setup and onboarding of new trading partners, including testing and validation of EDI transactions

Work with IT, customer service, logistics and finance teams and resolve operational issues that pertain to EDI

Work closely with external customers, EDI specialists as well as customer service of EDI Partners

Create and maintain detailed EDI documentation, mapping specifications, and communication logs. Knowledge of Microsoft products is a plus

Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and contractors to ensure comprehensive testing and high-quality results

Support software updates, configuration changes, and integration projects related to ERP and EDI platforms

Provide technical assistance and training to business users and other IT specialists as needed

Participates as a member of the Team. Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. Attend appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues, e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization

Is familiar with Simmons’ established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position’s role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas
