Responsibilities
Support the development, execution, and reconciliation of operating budgets at the directorate and division levels
Collect, analyze, and track financial data to provide accurate obligation and expenditure reporting
Maintain cognizance of approved, deferred, and released funds and ensure appropriate tracking documentation is in place
Provide financial information, forecasts, and variance analyses for management reporting
Develop financial summaries, graphs, and charts to support leadership decision-making
Support the preparation of budget submissions, financial justifications, and execution documents
Maintain audit-ready records for active, expired, and cancelled funds
Participate in preparing responses to financial data calls and requests from higher headquarters
Support the reconciliation of commitments, obligations, and expenditures to ensure accuracy
Coordinate with leadership to support budget execution and justification activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required
Minimum 6 years of progressive financial management or budget analysis experience in a DoD or federal environment
Working knowledge of the PPBE process and familiarity with DoD financial management regulations
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and other 365 tools
Ability to prepare clear and concise financial reports
U.S. citizenship and an active, SECRET Security Clearance is required
