Assistant Professor, Engineering Physics & Applied Engineering

Responsibilities

Teach courses in an EAC/ABET-accredited undergraduate engineering physics program with tracks in mechanical, electrical, and aerospace engineering, courses in applied engineering/engineering technology programs, or other classes as assigned
The development of a sustainable research and creative activity program involving undergraduate students is critical
This faculty will be expected to develop student-centered teaching skills, including the use of modern classroom and course management technologies
Engagement in EAC/ABET accreditation is required
Other responsibilities may include laboratory development, student academic and career advisement, and developing professional industry partners for internship and full-time career opportunities

Required

Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is required
ABDs with a documented plan of completion by appointment date will be considered
Teach courses in an EAC/ABET-accredited undergraduate engineering physics program with tracks in mechanical, electrical, and aerospace engineering
Engagement in EAC/ABET accreditation is required
The development of a sustainable research and creative activity program involving undergraduate students is critical
