The City of New York is seeking a Program Coordinator for Training within the Office of Criminal Justice. This role involves providing technical and logistical support for training programs for Assigned Counsel Plan attorneys, including scheduling training sessions, maintaining records, and coordinating events.

Responsibilities

Scheduling both in-person and virtual training on a variety of topics related to criminal defense

Maintaining a calendar of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) offerings for ACP Central Office staff and for ACP panel attorneys

Conducting in-person registration at live events and verifying attendance at virtual events

Collecting and disseminating education materials for CLE courses

Preparing and distributing certificates of attendance for those attending Continuing Legal Education events sponsored by ACP

Maintaining records on subject content and attendance necessary for the filing of reports with the Continuing Legal Education Board of the State of New York

Coordinating with technology specialists at live CLE presentations and virtual presentations

Hosting online CLEs on Zoom Webinar

Arranging for the use of venues for large-scale events

Responding to inquiries from panel members and others who attend CLE events sponsored by ACP

Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above

High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above

Education and/or experience which is equivalent to '1' or '2' above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in '1' above
