Senior Laboratory Analyst – LC-MS/MS
Gateway Labs is an ISO 17025-accredited cannabis compliance laboratory seeking a Senior Laboratory Analyst with strong LC-MS/MS pesticides experience. The role involves hands-on production responsibilities, troubleshooting, and improving laboratory processes in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities
Run LC-MS/MS pesticide batches end-to-end: sample prep, sequence setup, system checks, calibration, QC evaluation, data processing, and documentation
Troubleshoot common LC-MS/MS issues impacting batch success (e.g., sensitivity loss, carryover, ion ratios, retention time shifts, inconsistent recoveries, contamination/background, integration consistency)
Perform routine maintenance and performance verification; document all work in an audit-ready manner
Support investigations when QC fails (deviations/nonconformances, root cause, corrective actions) with guidance from management as needed
Collaborate closely with the Laboratory Director and Quality Manager to improve SOP consistency and efficiency
Cross-coverage (preferred): assist with LC-DAD potency and/or provide secondary support on Headspace GC (solvents/terpenes) and ICP-MS (metals), based on your background
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science (or equivalent professional experience)
2+ years of experience in an analytical testing lab (regulated environment strongly preferred)
Strong documentation habits and comfort working in a QMS-driven lab (ISO/regulated mindset)
Able to commute daily to Tonkawa, OK
Preferred
ISO 17025 audited lab experience
Agilent MassHunter experience (or equivalent LC-MS/MS software)
Cannabis pesticide multi-residue workflow experience (or other high-throughput regulated testing)
Method development, method modification, and/or method validation experience
LC-DAD potency experience
Headspace GC (residual solvents / terpenes) and/or ICP-MS experience
LIMS experience (LabWare or similar) and strong data integrity habits
Training/mentoring experience
