Child Development Specialist - CDC - BC Chestnut (PER DIEM)

Inspira Health is seeking a Child Development Specialist to join their team. The role involves evaluating and collaborating with families to create individualized service plans for children with developmental delays and disabilities, while providing education and resources to support health and well-being.

Responsibilities

Systematically evaluates the strengths, needs, preferences, and challenges of infants and children, in collaboration with the family, as part of a NJ Early Intervention Team
Collaborates with family and other Individual Family Service Plan Team Members to develop an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) which incorporates family priorities/concerns, clinical observation, and evaluation/assessment data to develop child and family outcomes
Implements evidenced-based instructional practices in the child s natural environment
Provides education, resources, and coaching to clients, family, caregivers, and health care professionals to promote and maintain health and well-being

Child development knowledgeFamily centered practicesFunctional computer skillsProfessional experience with childrenCertification/licensure

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution in a related health, human service, or education field
At least one year of documented professional experience with individuals from birth to five years of age who have developmental delays and disabilities; OR at least six (6) credits in infant and toddler or early childhood development
Knowledge of family centered practices
Knowledge of typical and atypical child growth and development
Functional computer skills
Valid Driver's license, proof of insurance and a reliable means of transportation as described in Fleet Safety ADM.291 *IHN* policy

Preferred

Certification and/or licensure by the appropriate regulatory agency preferred
