Business Development Manager (Private Equity Transactions, Strategic M&A and Industry)
Ambition is partnering with a market-leading, global law firm to find a Business Development Manager for Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Transactions. This role involves acting as a strategic advisor to partners, executing integrated business development and marketing strategies on a global scale.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement business development strategies for the Private Equity Transactions and Strategic M&A practices, as well as key industry groups, ensuring alignment with firmwide goals and priorities
Serve as a strategic partner to practice and industry group leadership, identifying growth opportunities, client expansion initiatives, and cross-selling strategies
Oversee the preparation and delivery of high-quality pitches, RFP responses, and presentations tailored to specific opportunities
Consult with partners on individual business development plans and support lateral partner integration efforts
Manage and support client-facing events, sponsorships, and thought leadership initiatives, tracking effectiveness and ROI
Collaborate with Marketing colleagues on award submissions, legal directory entries, and league table rankings
Qualification
Required
Strong business development and marketing experience from a law firm or professional services environment
Preferred
Prior experience supporting M&A, Private Equity, or industry-focused practices would be particularly attractive
