Responsibilities

Architect, develop, and maintain robust APIs and backend solutions for our PHP-based web portal
Work closely with our Engineering teams to research and create new features, address technical debt, and continually enhance performance
Participate in efforts to boost observability, increase automation, and optimize our CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to plan and roll out new features focusing on security and reliability

Required

Strong proficiency with PHP (3+ years preferred)
Solid grounding in Linux and/or BSD environments
A belief in thorough documentation as a fundamental component of engineering
Experience dealing with and resolving technical debt
Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD)

Preferred

Experience developing custom APIs (highly preferred)
Exposure to configuration management tools like Puppet or Ansible is advantageous
Comfortability working in Windows environment would be beneficial, but not mandatory
