Responsibilities

Supporting and leading delivery of project objectives and workstreams, ensuring their successful completion
Utilising influencing and negotiating skills to drive forward actions, embedding government and departmental EDI initiatives across the organisation
Working cross functionally to ensure successful delivery within tight deadlines
Consulting with a wide range of stakeholders and exploring a robust range of options and evidence bases to develop, seek approval for, and maintain delivery plans
Developing and maintaining project documentation including project initiation documents, plans, risk records, update reports and other records associated with business lead change delivery
Motivating, coordinating and leading multidisciplinary groups in the delivery of approved project plans
Making day to day decisions in line with approved plans
Creating material to be used in comms and engagement activity to utilise with stakeholders for example slide packs or papers for Boards or senior leaders

Required

EDI expertise/ deep technical knowledge across a range of protected characteristics and inclusion priorities
Professional and credible approach to providing sound recommendations and advice that fosters good relationships - managing stakeholders effectively
Will need excellent stakeholder engagement skills, strong written skills, able to use & interpret data, navigate internal politics, work autonomously, escalate appropriately
Ability to flex between different priorities skilfully, and experience of delivering high quality work with good organisational skills to drive progress whilst maintaining oversight of multiple projects
Ability to work collaboratively within the EDI Team, providing subject matter expertise in a timely manner to ensure briefings and content is accurate and effective

Preferred

Ability to work under pressure, maintaining positive and professional relationships in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple projects and deadlines
Previous experience of critical delivery in a HR environment
Planning, programme, or project management experience in a people or policy context
