Responsibilities

Lead by example and maintain professionalism while supporting company values and expectations

Set up injection molding machines, including material and color changes, to meet production schedules

Maintain a strong technical understanding of molding processes and raw materials

Communicate equipment or process issues to supervisors and management promptly

Start up machines, ensure quality at startup, and monitor production throughout the shift

Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain efficiency, quality, and throughput, documenting all changes

Work closely with Quality Assurance to ensure products meet required dimensions and standards

Review daily production schedules and ensure machines are operating to meet customer demand

Respond to alarms, equipment malfunctions, or operator requests to resolve production or machine issues

Follow proper Lockout/Tagout procedures when working on equipment

Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Maintenance teams regarding machine performance and troubleshooting

Inspect scrap to prevent usable product from being discarded and accurately record scrap numbers

Required

Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to complete forms and computer-based documentation

Ability to work weekends and overtime when required

Technical understanding of injection‑molding processes or ability to learn quickly

Able to stand for long periods and perform tasks requiring good hand–eye coordination

Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and handle tools/equipment

Regular exposure to production environments; must use appropriate PPE (safety glasses, safety shoes, bump cap, hearing protection, etc.)

Ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs

Vision requirements include distance, peripheral, and depth perception

Comfortable working near moving mechanical equipment

Self‑starter with the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment

Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively as part of a cross‑functional team

Preferred

Prior plastic injection molding experience highly preferred
