Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a CAD Designer to join their growing Bridges and Highways team in New York. The role involves producing CAD drawings for public infrastructure projects and assisting the engineering team with CAD design methodology and practices.

Responsibilities

Produce CAD drawings for public infrastructure projects including highways, intersections, bridges, culverts and ancillary features

Prepare quantity take-offs from CAD and surface model files

Prepare reinforcing bar detailing for reinforced concrete structures

Apply and integrate various client CAD standards into CAD templates

May develop 3D CAD models for substructures, grading and alignments/profiles

Assist the engineering and project management team with the development of CAD design methodology and practices

Perform drawing QA/QC on work products from other CADD design and engineering staff

Oversee and supervise junior CAD staff

Qualification

Required

Associate degree in engineering technology or the equivalent years of experience is required

8+ years of CAD design experience for public infrastructure projects and owners is required

Proficient in one or more of the following CAD platforms: MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD or Civil 3D is required

Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions

Preferred

NYSDOT and/or NYSTA experience is a plus

Experience with 3D CAD, Point Clouds, and Digital Delivery methods is a plus
