Environmental Control Technician III- Shorebird
The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control is seeking an Environmental Control Technician III for the Delaware Shorebird Project. The role involves recruiting, scheduling, training, and managing volunteers to collect migratory shorebird data, as well as participating in field work and assisting with data management and outreach efforts.

Responsibilities
Provides technical support in studies, surveys, inspections and research projects
Survey and monitor bird populations
Trapping and banding
Work cooperatively with other seasonals, volunteers and Division of Fish and Wildlife staff
Provides technical information and assistance to the public
Maintains accurate records and prepares reports
Assists in data entry
Maintains records and reports detailing daily activities
Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Six months experience in conducting field work to collect environmental or ecological samples and survey data
Six months experience in analyzing and evaluating data
Six months experience in math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, or decimals
Six months experience in interpreting laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures
Six months experience in narrative report writing
Six months experience in using an automated information system to enter, update, modify, delete, retrieve/inquire and report on data
Possession of a valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving)
