Responsibilities

Lead and mentor an interdisciplinary team to deliver multimodal transportation infrastructure
Manage projects and guide the team through design development, design review, bid package development, permitting, and answering questions during construction
Ensure that projects are consistently of the highest quality
Deliver projects to construction in collaboration with clients and colleagues from various disciplines
Implement the firm's quality initiatives and support business development and project pursuits

Required

A Professional Engineering license in ME (other Northeast states a plus)
A bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering, or relevant field
At least 15 years of relevant engineering experience

Preferred

At least 5 years serving in a project manager or design lead role, preferably for MA or other northeast-based clients, with a proven track record of delivering multiple large/complex projects on time and on budget
A broad knowledge base in civil engineering, with specific experience in roadway design, drainage design, geometric design, 3D modeling and design of accessible public spaces
Proficiency in Computer Automated Design (AutoCAD or MicroStation) and design software (Civil 3D, GEOPAK or InRoads)
Experience analyzing and designing stormwater infrastructure, including the use of stormwater design software such as HydroCAD or HydroFlow
Experience developing construction documents and providing construction management services
Experience in preparing transportation and local agency permit documents
General experience leading multidisciplinary teams, coordinating utility and right-of-way impacts, street lighting, traffic signal, and landscape/hardscape layout
Interest in multimodal and active transportation design
