UNIQLO is opening a new location in Downtown Crossing, and they are seeking an Alteration Specialist to join their team. The role involves altering pants according to customer specifications, utilizing sewing skills and knowledge of fabrics to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Sew hem of pants with industrial sewing machine

Trim excess threads using scissors

Measure, cut and sew hems following seams, edges, or markings on pants

Alter pants hemlines to fit individual customers

Working knowledge of sewing machines such as lock stitch, blind stitch, and serge machines

Support the sales floor and other store operations tasks as needed to provide excellent customer service and maintain tidiness of displays

Required

At least six (6) months prior sewing/ fitting experience in an alterations or tailoring department

Maintain specified productivity guidelines

Strong communication skills, fluency in English mandatory

Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the business needs, including evenings and weekends

Maintain open availability at least five (5) days per week, averaging 32 hours or more per week based on business seasonality

Have no more than two (2) days off in the same Monday-Sunday workweek

Limit scheduling restrictions to no more than three (3) days per week

Only one (1) restriction permitted Friday-Sunday

At least one (1) restriction must be time-based
