Veterinary Hospital Assistant Manager
Veterinary Practice Partners is seeking an Assistant Practice Manager for East Greenbush Animal Hospital, a progressive, full-service veterinary practice. The role involves partnering with the Practice Manager to enhance operations, support a high-performing team, and ensure exceptional patient care in a client-focused environment.

Responsibilities
Support Practice Manager in execution of strategic hospital projects / initiatives to grow and improve the business
Design and execute marketing strategies to attract new clients and promote services
Partner with Operations Director and Marketing team to analyze performance metrics and financial reports to identify growth opportunities and operational improvements
Develop and execute client retention and outreach initiatives to boost engagement and loyalty (e.g., service health reminder outreach, forward booking, rescheduling canceled appointments, Google reviews and online reputation)
Foster partnerships with local organizations and referral networks and represent the hospital at community events
Confidently handle demanding client interactions and resolve concerns with tact and clarity, escalating to Medical Director and/or Practice Manager when needed
Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and empathy
Partner with Lead CSR to ensure quality client experience and smooth front desk operations including scheduling, check-in/check-out, and client communications
Assist Lead CSR in addressing client complaints with empathy and professionalism, turning challenges into opportunities for service recovery
Oversee maintenance of a clean, safe, and well-equipped facility that reflects the hospital’s commitment to excellence – working with department Leads and Practice Manager when relevant
Partner with Practice Manager and department Leads to foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and team collaboration
Qualification
Required
Proven ability to balance business needs with team well-being
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Experience interpreting data and using it to inform decisions
Capable of independently formulating and executing plans, while also collaborating effectively with leadership
Preferred
Previous management experience in a veterinary setting
