HazOps Engineer

X-Bow Systems is seeking a HazOps Engineer to conduct hazard analyses and develop controls for identified hazards. The role involves providing technical expertise on hazardous materials and processes while performing complex hazard analysis assignments in support of product development and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Perform complex hazards analysis assignments in support of the development, testing, and manufacturing of hazardous materials
Apply physics-based approach to risk identification and mitigation
Support concept, design, and process hazards analyses in response to contract data item requirements and regulatory needs
Provide a basis for safety waivers and regulatory interpretation and deviation
Often function in a consulting and SME role as it relates to the risks associated with design and development of product and processes using highly hazardous materials
Work across multiple organizations to establish policies and procedures focused on risk reduction and hazard control

Required

BS Engineering or Physics minimum
8+ year experience with energetic materials minimum
