Responsibilities
Serving as the single point of contact for all customer technical inquiries, change requests, and communications related to the technology and its auxiliary systems
Providing operational leadership and driving continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle
Capturing and feeding lessons learned back into design engineering teams to prevent repeat issues
Offering technical guidance to Project Management and Applications/Regional Customer Applications Engineering teams
Leading Customer Kick-Off Meetings (CKOMs) and Design Liaison Meetings (DLMs) with customers and EPC partners
Reviewing contract documentation and communicating project requirements across all design functions using internal documentation systems
Assessing financial and schedule impacts of customer-requested scope changes through Cost & Cycle Estimates (CCEs)
Implementing approved changes via the formal Change Management process
Supporting resolution of complex, cross-functional design issues
Proactively mitigating engineering schedule risks to avoid delivery delays or late customer deliverables
Managing the engineering budget and providing quarterly Estimates at Completion (EACs) to Finance
Providing technical support to engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, suppliers, and installation teams to ensure compliance with customer requirements and business objectives
Presenting project issue resolutions to senior leadership, highlighting risks and developing actionable mitigation plans
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of relevant experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in Project Engineering, Design Engineering, and/or Field Engineering
Willingness and ability to travel approximately 10–15%
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Strong leadership-level communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred
Proven customer-facing experience
Experience with GTCC Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software
Demonstrated creativity and strong problem-solving skills
Experience or knowledge of plant system design engineering, manufacturing, assembly, installation, and/or testing
A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for optimizing processes
