MOHR Talent is an organization operating within the nonprofit and healthcare-adjacent space, seeking a seasoned Senior Accounting Consultant to support a post-ERP migration clean-up and audit readiness initiative following a conversion to Sage Intacct. The role focuses on financial reconciliation, variance resolution, and audit support, working closely with leadership and external auditors.

Responsibilities

Lead detailed balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations within Sage Intacct

Investigate and resolve a material post-conversion variance (~$1.6M) related to historical data, timing differences, or migration impacts

Validate opening balances, roll-forwards, retained earnings, and fund balances following conversion

Identify root causes of discrepancies and document findings clearly and defensibly

Partner with leadership and external auditors during audit fieldwork

Prepare reconciliation schedules, variance explanations, and supporting documentation

Respond to auditor inquiries related to data integrity and post-migration accuracy

Support the resolution of audit findings and help prevent repeat issues

Work directly with the CFO and senior leadership as a trusted accounting advisor

Provide concise updates on progress, risks, and recommended resolution paths

Recommend and support corrective journal entries or adjustments, when appropriate

Clearly document reconciliation methodology, assumptions, and outcomes

Deliver organized handoff documentation to ensure sustainability after the engagement concludes
