Supplier Quality Engineers (Levels I–II)

Precipart is a global leader in precision components, seeking two Supplier Quality Engineers (Levels I–II) to support New Product Introduction and manage supplier quality across their global supply base. The role involves supplier qualification, auditing, and part validations, with opportunities for career progression based on demonstrated skills and performance.

Responsibilities

Perform supplier quality process in compliance with Precipart standards and other applicable regulations (e.g., ISO 13485, AS9100 and ISO 9001)
Qualify new suppliers in alignment with the Supply Chain and Sourcing teams
Conduct supplier risk assessments and implement mitigation actions
Monitor incumbent supply base performance (on-time delivery, quality performance, certification status, etc.)
Drive completion of supplier related nonconformances and corrective actions
Establish and maintain supplier records and corrective action system files
Prepare and execute company-wide supplier quality audits (remote and on-site) in accordance with internal procedures
Develop and approve supplier validations of new products ensuring on-time and quality deliverables
Support Manufacturing NPI projects in alignment with Quality Engineering
Partner with Quality Systems & Quality Engineering to ensure compliance across all quality functions
Assist in quality investigations with customers when a supplier is involved, tracking complaints through to satisfactory completion
Identify and implement appropriate corrective actions to resolve concerns in line with ISO/AS, company, and customer requirements
Stay current with best practices, trends, standards and share knowledge with team members
Support customer and notified body audits as required
Responsible for conforming with the Company’s quality management system requirements, as well as contributing to its overall effectiveness, and the ultimate goals of customer satisfaction, product compliance and ethical practices/behavior

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Relevant internship, co-op, or 2+ years of engineering or quality experience
Familiarity with supplier quality processes, including qualification, auditing, and part validations
Ability to read technical drawings and understand tolerances, special characteristics, etc
Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Strong problem solving and analytical ability
Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities
A self-starter with ability to work independently and in a team environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and dependability
Flexible and adaptable to change with a forward-thinking mindset
Domestic and international travel up to 20%

Preferred

Master's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or another related field
Certified Quality Auditor
Knowledge of validation processes (IQ, OQ, PQ, PPAP)
Knowledge of quality core tools such as FMEA, 8D, MSA
Speaks German and/or French
