Responsibilities
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations when appropriate
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related issues within the educational environment
Assist students, staff, and visitors with security-related questions or directions as needed while maintaining a courteous presence
Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal policies and procedures
Document incidents and complete required reports accurately and promptly
Work collaboratively with campus personnel and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment
Qualification
Required
At least six months of security-related experience is required
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
