EQUIPMENT REPAIR TECHNICIAN

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services is seeking an Equipment Repair Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of their fleet at Central State Hospital. The role involves performing maintenance and repairs on motorized vehicles, requiring strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

Performing regularly scheduled maintenance and mechanical repairs on combustible engines and related electrical and safety equipment for motorized vehicles used by CSH and HWDMC
Have working knowledge of diagnostic and repair techniques for a wide range of diesel and gasoline-powered equipment
Be proficient in using computer-based diagnostic and testing tools
Strong skills in safe vehicle shop practices
Proper use of hand tools, power tools, and vehicle lifts
Comprehend and apply technical information from repair manuals
Perform heavy manual labor during vehicle repairs
Basic understanding of computer operations to support documentation and diagnostics

Required
