Real Estate Development Assistant Project Manager
Volunteers of America Southeast Louisiana is seeking a Real Estate Development Assistant Project Manager to support the Director of Real Estate Development and manage day-to-day activities for complex real estate transactions. The role involves maintaining project tracking systems, assisting with real estate closings, and providing administrative support to ensure efficient project execution.

Responsibilities
Maintain the project-tracking and reporting systems including financial, time schedules, checklists
Assist the real estate development managers with closings of real estate transactions, including tracking closing checklists, summarizing documentation, managing and organizing files, attending to execution and delivery of documents and coordinating correspondence and closing packages
Coordinate, track and report on activities and projects as applicable
Create and maintain action-item lists from meetings, track progress of ongoing projects to keep the RED managers on schedule, ensure deadlines are met and work is completed efficiently
Provide administrative support, including managing electronic correspondence, calendar and meeting invitations, agendas, and follow-up tracking
Assist in the preparation of funding applications and submissions
Accurately process project expenses for the managers and provide information to accounting
Assist with special projects as requested
Read documents for learning and for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
Be consistent with RNDC electronic filing system
Help with project documentation and filing
Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be requested by the Director of Real Estate Development
Assist in the preparation, organization and maintenance of RNDC promotional materials including the RNDC website
Coordinate logistics for special events such as groundbreakings and grand openings each year
Assist the development team in preparing materials for community meetings
Occasionally attend evening neighborhood meetings as requested
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in real estate development, Finance, Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, Urban Planning or a related field or equivalent experience
Proficiency with MS Office suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint expected
Demonstrated ability to support a team, anticipate needs and respond with tact and empathy in fast-paced or high-stakes situations
Ability to balance simultaneous tasks, identify priorities and adjust quickly as needs change
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
High level of interpersonal and human-relations skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide variety of personality types; excellent critical-thinking ability and capacity to manage non-routine situations
Strong drive for results, with ability to work with minimal supervision, focus on details, meet deadlines and proactively move to the next task
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and persuasively
Preferred
Experience with scheduling software preferred
Prior exposure to real-estate projects financed through LIHTC, New Markets Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits, HUD 221(d)(4) programs is desirable
Experience in preparing funding applications or supporting grant/submission processes preferred
