Responsibilities
Gather, write, and present news reports for various newscasts, including various digital platforms
Shoot and edit video and interviews
Contribute pictures, videos, and text updates to mobile platforms consistently throughout the day, both in the field and at the station
Develop a network of sources
Participate in the story selection process through meetings, and contribute story ideas daily
Shoot independent live shots
Other duties as assigned by news leadership
The ideal candidate will also be able to work with our digital news platforms
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or substantial previous work experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent news writing and visual storytelling ability
Familiarity with digital video cameras, non-linear editing, and Social Media platforms
Ability to lift 35-40lbs of gear
The position requires a valid driver's license and a good driving record

2 years of previous journalism experience, preferred
