Responsibilities
Undertaking the planning, analysis, permitting, design, and inspection of waterfront development projects including marinas, marine and coastal structures, waterfront infrastructure, shoreline protection and stabilization, navigable waters, dredging, and related projects
Generating and recognizing cost-effective and constructible technical solutions to engineering challenges
Writing feasibility studies, technical reports, and construction specifications
Managing the production of engineering plans and drawings
Performing engineering calculations and critical reviews of technical reports
Inspecting and supervising onsite works during construction phases of marinas and waterfront development projects
Managing and controlling project budgets, programs, resources, and quality of production
Develop proposals in response to RFPs, including build-up of project budgets, programs, and scopes of work
Interfacing and communicating directly with clients, regulators, contractors, and team members
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in coastal/ocean engineering, civil engineering, or closely related field
5 years experience in a related engineering field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Outstanding communication skills, with a specific focus on business/technical writing
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Proficiency with AutoCAD (Civil 3D) and/or GIS
Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel
Preferred
Master's degree in engineering, business, or related field
7+ years experience in a related engineering field or equivalent combination of education and experience
General knowledge of surveying and surveying principles
Valid passport (or eligibility obtain) and ability/willingness to travel internationally to support waterfront project work
