This role focuses on advancing the understanding and treatment of mental illness through innovative research, clinical excellence, and academic leadership.

Responsibilities
Develop and lead an independent, extramurally funded research program in areas such as neuropsychiatry, mood and anxiety disorders, psychosis, addiction, brain stimulation, or behavioral neuroscience
Collaborate with established programs in Neuroscience, Cancer Survivorship, Neurodegenerative Disease, and Population Health
Access advanced research infrastructure, including neuroimaging, biostatistics, data science, and clinical trial support through the KU Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) and other core facilities
Qualification
Required
MD, MD/PhD, or DO
Board Certification in Psychiatry
Demonstrated record of sustained extramural research funding (NIH, NIMH, or equivalent)
Proven excellence in both research and clinical psychiatry
Preferred
Expertise in translational or clinical neuroscience, psychopharmacology, neuroimaging, or behavioral intervention research
Experience leading multidisciplinary or federally funded research programs
