Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of sustaining engineers, and technical staff to resolve technical issues in existing products and systems
Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for field failures, manufacturing issues, and design improvements
Collaborate cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, quality, and service teams to ensure product reliability and performance
Manage engineering change processes and documentation to support product lifecycle management
Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting and problem-solving, especially in mechanical systems involving combustion or refrigeration
Support cost reduction initiatives, supplier changes, and component obsolescence management
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies
Drive all sustaining activities and identify opportunities for improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (4-year) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical engineering role, preferably in sustaining or product support
Proven experience with combustion systems, chiller systems, or other complex mechanical systems preferred
Proven experience trouble shooting complex electro-mechanical systems in a high-speed manufacturing environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Proficiency in CAD tools and engineering documentation systems
Experience with general responsibilities of a line manager including conflict resolution
Must have the ability to work in the USA without the need for sponsorship
Preferred
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience in HVAC, industrial equipment, or energy systems
Experience with control systems (Embedded controllers, PLC's etc)
Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., UL, ASHRAE, AHRI, ANSI)
Project management experience
