Apria Healthcare is dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients at home. The Sleep Care Tech is responsible for equipment setup and providing exceptional customer service while assisting patients with their home medical equipment needs.
Health Care
Responsibilities
May have to communicate or interact with, assess, or treat patients of all ages
Documents all interaction with patients/customers in their record
Listens and resolves complaints and refers to the appropriate personnel as warranted
Preps for setups and sets equipment to prescribed therapy
Answer inquiries and follows up with patients regarding technical issues with equipment
Perform assessments/reassessments of each patient's care or service needs throughout the patient's contact with the organization including physical assessments; psychosocial assessments; functional assessments; and activity assessments
Formulate, revise; and maintain basic patient care plans based on physician orders and assessment findings including the identification of patient problems/needs, goals, and actions and interventions relating to the care or service provided when necessary
Monitor patient's response to the care or services provided, the actions or interventions taken, and the outcome of the care or service provided
Educate patients and other end users with relation to their home medical equipment use by covering operating features, warranty, and safety while providing demonstrations
Encourage patients with their therapy and compliance with equipment usage
Promote safe, effective patient and organizational environments and equipment use
Collects and processes payments from patients
Completion of all paperwork relating to delivery, pick up, exchange, repair/replace, and additional forms as deemed necessary
Performs other duties as required
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Two years in person customer service interaction required

Intermediate skills in Access, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, Word
English (reading, writing, verbal)
Intermediate level mathematical proficiency, with a strong ability to understand, interpret and develop spreadsheet data
