Responsibilities
Records information concerning inquiries, admissions and discharges and assists with daily census reports
Coordinates the inquiry process, facilitating admission assessment and the admission process including all required paperwork
Appropriately notifies facility representatives of admission updates
Keep a monthly record of census, matching numbers with the Business Office to ensure accuracy at the end of each month
Provide information on referral leads, admissions, and discharges on a weekly basis or as requested
Communicates effectively with the Social Security Department, Nursing and Business Office regarding bed availability
Evaluates referrals to determine admission candidacy, including visiting referrals at home or involved with community agency as appropriate
Maintain close contact with all referral sources
Notify hospitals of bed availability regularly
Positive, energetic, and creative individual
Ability to work independently or part of a group
Computer knowledge
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in health care administration or related field
Prior admissions experience in long term care
Possess a passion for marketing and building census
