Risk, Insights, Strategy and Controls (RISC) Manager
CIBC is building a relationship-oriented bank for the modern world and is seeking a Risk, Insights, Strategy and Controls (RISC) Manager. This role will partner with first line of defense teams to enable effective risk management and assist with the development of internal controls while driving a more objective approach to risk measurement and mitigation.

Responsibilities
Work closely with line of business (LOB) partners to drive a more data-informed and objective assessment of risk
Draft model language to be applied for operational and regulatory risk assessments, and facilitate data collection and evaluation
Assess all new deficiencies and evaluate broader implications and lessons learned that can be used to drive holistic and strategic remediation across all impacted lines of business
Evaluate metrics across lines of business, and identify opportunities for alignment and consistency
Integrate risk metrics into other program metrics to inform management of emerging risks and control vulnerabilities
Assess and drive opportunities to create centralized and/or standardized controls applying the Process/Risk/Cause/Control methodology
Facilitate end-to-end process mapping to draw out controls embedded throughout the process, and work to uplift automated and preventative controls
Coordinate incident management across four lines of business by interviewing team members impacted or involved, preparing incident management reporting, working to enhance processes and controls to avoid future instances, and manage adherence to the 2LoD incident management process
Participate in special projects as needed
Qualification
Required
At least 7-10 years of experience in compliance, operational risk, or audit; preference for experience within a regulated financial services organization
Bachelor's degree
Strong interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation skills; ability to articulate complex issues concisely and communicate effectively and comfortably with senior leadership
Solid relationship building and stakeholder management skills
Ability to execute tasks under aggressive targets and effectively manage to change in plan
Strong initiative, energy and confidence completing projects with limited supervision
