Responsibilities

Provides quality mental health assessment and treatment for individuals, families, couples, and groups. Conducts diagnostic assessments and develops a plan of care to accomplish patient goals. Treatment services provided can include but are not limited to individual psychotherapy, group therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and crisis intervention services to patients presenting with primary behavioral health problems
Documents all contacts with patients in accordance with departmental and professional standards under the review of the immediate clinical supervisor
Participates in a minimum of 1 hour of individual clinical supervision per week with identified supervisor and an additional hour of either individual or group supervision determined by the supervisor to meet board supervision requirements
Attends multidisciplinary team consultations to help with treatment planning and receive support on challenging cases. Attends other departmental meetings as determined and directed by supervisor
Performs patient follow-up including returning phone calls and patient messages, patient letters, and miscellaneous paperwork (e.g., disability forms, FMLA forms, forms for qualification for school services, etc.)
Participates in training, clinical supervision and mentorship with other behavioral health staff
Coordinates care with medical personnel and with outside professionals, agencies, and institutions as needed to ensure that patients receive high-quality integrated behavioral healthcare
Actively manages caseload in order to meet individual and team productivity goals. Be responsive to the needs of the patient population. Collaborate with other team members in planning effective division of clinical work. Shift focus of practice according to changing needs of the department and patients
Follows and complies with all requirements of the applicable MN licensing Board and Code of Ethics expectations. For LGSWs, this includes the MN Board of Social Work and NASW (National Association of Social Workers) Code of Ethics. For LAMFTs, this includes the MN Board of Marriage and Family Therapy and AAMFT (American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy) Code of Ethics. For LPCCs, this includes the MN Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy and ACA (American Counseling Association) Code of Ethics
Follows and complies with all directions given by the clinical supervisor(s) and administrative leader(s) regarding direct patient care and employment expectations
Performs special projects and tasks as assigned

Required

Master's degree in in one of the following: social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or related field
One year of relevant clinical experience (e.g., diagnostic assessments, individual, family and group counseling)
Compliant with Minnesota statute requirements regarding education and licensure status in Minnesota and other jurisdictions
Current LGSW (Licensed Graduate Social Worker), LAMFT (Licensed Associate Marriage Family Therapist), or LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors) in Minnesota
Proficiency in operating telephone/voicemail, personal computer (applicable software applications), photocopier, fax machine, and printer
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods at a time
Must possess speech, hearing, and sight skills to perform the functions of the position
Manual dexterity required
Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently. Proficiency in other languages may be required

Preferred

Experience working in a multidisciplinary team in a medical/mental health setting
Experience/training in clinical behavioral health services
Experience working with culturally/racially diverse populations
Experience with the fundamental principles for completing diagnostic assessment
