Responsibilities

Responsible for the needs of the staff with regards to work flow and technical operations

Ensures proper preparing, storing, dispensing and periodic evaluation of all reagents to assure accuracy and precision of test results

Performs laboratory analysis and interpret results

Recognizes instrument malfunction, quality control problems, and abnormal or variant patient results

Develop and maintain technical policies and procedures

Performs related duties as required

Required

Graduate of an accredited school of medical technology, or equivalent such as: Military training as defined by 42 CFR 493.1489, Qualified at the Medical Technologist level by achieving a satisfactory grade on an HHS examination before 2/28/92 42 CFR 493.1491, Meets CLIA requirements for General Supervisor

5+ years of job-related experience required

Registered in accordance with an approved certifying agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT or equivalent)

Preferred

Bachelor's degree from an approved college or university

Prior Supervisory experience preferred
