Prospect Medical Holdings, Inc. is an acute care facility in Southern California dedicated to providing accessible healthcare. They are seeking a PBX Operator who will manage incoming and outgoing calls, monitor alarm systems, and maintain communication protocols within the hospital.

Responsibilities

Operates telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. Maintains an alphabetical file of patients’ names, room number, and telephone extensions to expedite relaying of calls

Pages authorized personnel over the intercom system. Announces close of visiting hours and other notifications

Records all pertinent information regarding the hospital’s telephone network system and notifies telephone carrier and supervisor of any issues and/or malfunctions. Pages all codes and emergencies and follows proper procedure as established in Fire and Safety Manual and Disaster Plan. Maintains communications center in the event of a Fire and/or a Disaster

Demonstrates appropriate use of independent judgement and decision making. Demonstrates excellent customer service at all times. Ensures the work area is clean, clutter free, and organized
