The selected candidate will develop and maintain cable and wire harness assembly designs, analyze results, perform design reviews, and assist with engineering design disposition.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain cable and wire harness assembly designs

Analyze results and perform design reviews

Assist with engineering design disposition on discrepancies such as rejection tags, production action requests, and shop revision requests

Develop and maintain electrical product details, assemblies, and installation designs for equipment racks, power panels, cable routing, and geometry, antennas

Document processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities

Develop statements of work, metrics, schedules, and budgets

Perform technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection

Collect data to support the development of statements of work

Assist in data gathering of supplier capabilities

Review functional and physical input used in the development of integrated design and system architecture

Required

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field

Ten years of experience as an aerospace design engineer or related occupation, of which five years must be progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience

Five years of experience with project lifecycle management tools including ENOVIA

Five years of experience designing electrical or mechanical systems installation for aviation equipment

Five years of experience creating installation drawings for cable harness assemblies

Five years of experience modelling using CATIA, Solidworks, Siemens, or NX

Five years of experience conducting root cause analysis of design failures
