Responsibilities
Regularly participates/leads initiatives in Project Discovery, Work Groups and Focus Groups
Regularly participates and leads weekly team meetings to discuss team and project related activities, issues, changes, communications, and updates
Analyzes workflow decisions and how they translate into application configurations to ensure system design reflects decisions
Anticipates and provides solutions to problems with the necessary priorities. Presents solution to operational leaders within respective team/area
Strong knowledge of application level security
Leads and assists in the development and documentation of Standard Work Processes that will be used to support the application
Collaborates with vendor resources; plays an active role in managing the technical build and issue resolution
Contributes in the preparation, design, and execution of testing scripts and materials and performs unit, system, and integrated testing tasks
Documents and maintains all required system design and build documents and configures system accordingly
Create, maintain, and/or modify application reports and dashboards
Create, maintain, and/or modify application work queues
Maintain current knowledge of technology by attending appropriate continuing education training/seminars and reading related periodicals
Suggests new and optimizes existing team/application specific workflows or best practices
Plays a large role in managing/leading implementation of application owned projects
Participates and leads new implementation / installation of cross-team projects
Performs in depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details and other technical issues associated with the use of their respective system
Performs other duties as assigned
Promotes a team atmosphere that is conducive to the overall accomplishment of goals, schedules, and deadlines
Provide ongoing maintenance, and support of issues/enhancements for listed Epic Applications
Provides on-call support
Supports end users during go live which may include weekend and after hours
Supports and mentors team members with application and information systems knowledge
Tests and verifies software releases, upgrades and any changes prior to the promotion of build to the production environment
Troubleshoot, research and solve technically challenging problems involving integrated systems
Troubleshoot, research, and solve technically challenging problems and customer issues
Understands the operational issues within their application area well enough to represent users’ needs
Performs other Duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Epic Application or healthcare IT experience is required
MS Office is required
Associates degree or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience in a Healthcare environment required
Preferred
Preferred Epic Certifications in Non-Acute areas such as: Cadence/Prelude/Grand Central/Eligibility
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business or a Clinical area is preferred
At least 7 years relevant experience in a challenging healthcare environment strongly preferred
Knowledge/experience of Patient Registration, Admissions, Scheduling, Referrals, Authorizations, Insurance Verification is also preferred
