Responsibilities

Handle all phases of trust, estate, and probate litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
Represent clients in probate court hearings, mediations, depositions, and settlement conferences
Litigate matters involving trust and estate disputes, fiduciary breaches, will and trust contests, accountings, and related claims
Conduct legal research and draft persuasive motions, briefs, and memoranda
Develop litigation strategy and advise clients regarding risks, potential outcomes, and resolution options
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court in sensitive and high-conflict matters
Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management and exceptional client service

Required

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active California State Bar membership in good standing

Courtroom experience, including contested hearings and motion practice
Excellent legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
Professional, empathetic, and composed in emotionally complex situations
Ability to manage multiple litigation matters while working collaboratively within a team-oriented practice
