Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and implementation of robust, scalable data platform architectures for our clustered Operations and Business Intelligence SQL Server 2022 environments—both on-premises and in the cloud

Architect and optimize active/passive high availability clusters

Drive advanced SQL performance tuning and monitoring

Safeguard Roehl’s data assets

Collaborate with business and technology leaders, architects, and developers to deliver OLTP and analytical solutions that power customer and driver success

Required

Expert-level SQL and T-SQL skills

Extensive experience with SQL Server, including advanced performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting in active/passive high-availability clustered environments (must-have)

Proven ability to architect, design, and implement enterprise-scale data solutions

Demonstrated technical leadership—mentoring, setting standards, and driving best practices for database administration and engineering

Experience with Microsoft security and identity solutions

Multiple years in a senior technical or architect role, designing DBMS solutions and implementing core architecture for SQL database platforms

Deep understanding of relational and dimensional data models, metadata, and data governance practices

Understanding of secure data handling practices
