Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, integrate, modify, and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish system designs for the Boeing 787 program using three-dimensional computer aided design tools
Collaborate with internal and external technical experts, certification experts, supplier management, and program leaders to establish the technical direction of assigned projects
Provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle
Conduct and analyze tests to validate and verify systems and components meet regulatory requirements and engineering specifications
Manage complex design problems, investigate aircraft manufacturing issues, and resolve reported problems
Coordinate with suppliers to optimize designs and achieve program goals
Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs and innovations to meet projected requirements

Required

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other related engineering discipline plus five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience
Five years of experience with designing Boeing 787 or Airbus 350 interior payload systems
Five years of experience with three-dimensional modelling of interior payload systems using CATIA
Five years of experience with developing root cause corrective actions and installation plans for the modification of designs or production
Five years of experience with complying with Federal Aviation Administration airworthiness standards
Five years of experience with composite material properties for the Boeing 787 aircraft
Alternatively, Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other related engineering discipline plus three years of professional experience as an Engineer or related occupation
Three years of experience with designing Boeing 787 or Airbus 350 interior payload systems
Three years of experience with three-dimensional modelling of interior payload systems using CATIA
Three years of experience with developing root cause corrective actions and installation plans for the modification of designs or production
Three years of experience with complying with Federal Aviation Administration airworthiness standards
Three years of experience with composite material properties for the Boeing 787 aircraft
