Propulsion Engineer

Responsibilities
Create or update documents like fuel systems safety analysis and airworthiness limitations
Coordinate, develop, and publish test plans, reports, and procedures
Provide support for fuel systems safety and compliance investigations
Manage and prioritize multiple fuel systems tasks in support of certification and airplane delivery schedules
Interface with suppliers and external partners to drive successful collaborations on fuel systems projects
Ensure certification plans support regulatory requirements; and
Coordinate integration of fuel systems changes with other airplane systems
Qualification
Required
Requires a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
Three (3) years of professional work experience as a fuel engineer or related occupation
Three (3) years of experience analyzing safety and airworthiness of Fuel Systems Design on commercial aircraft
One (1) year of experience with certifying fuel systems on commercial aircraft
One (1) year of experience with large transport category aircraft certification processes
One (1) year of experience with documentation of Systems Safety Assessments according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), 14 CFR 25.981 Fuel Tank Explosion Prevention and FAA 14 CFR 25.1309 Equipment, Systems, and Installations
