Responsibilities

Perform basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance
Support test execution and analyses/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied
Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements
Work under general supervision

Required

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
Level 2: 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
Level 2: Understanding of airplane structure/systems, loading and environment, certification, design and manufacturing requirements, stress analysis processes, material strengths and properties and proficiency with stress analysis tools
Level 3: Well versed in loads development, material strengths and properties, design and manufacturing requirements, sizing and analysis processes and a mastery of stress analysis tools. Required to develop conclusions and provide recommendations that drive solutions. Level 3 engineers should be capable of lead engineering roles
This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a 'U.S. Person' as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 is required. 'U.S. Person' includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only
