Aircraft Assembly Systems Mechanics

Responsibilities

Must have the ability to complete the New Hire Training Cycle Flow to obtain and maintain all required certifications
Use a computer in a production environment
Look up/read/comprehend technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications
Install various parts and assemblies such as landing gear, aircraft control surfaces, exterior panels, carpets, blankets, roller trays/ball mats, stowbins, sidewalls, ceiling panels, lavatories, galleys, doors, and seats
Install various aircraft system components such as tubing, valves, regulators, actuators, compressors, and ducts
Wear appropriate protective clothing/equipment determined by the task you are performing
Operate mechanical lifts of various types (e.g. ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts)
Use various hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as screwdrivers, ratchets, power screwdriver multi meters, continuity testers
Apply chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes
Inspect your work quality and check for Foreign Object Debris
Climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), Crawling, Crouching (squatting)
Work around energized sources (electrical equipment and hazards/shock, e.g. circuit breakers and wiring) and exposure to constant noise
Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other)
Reading from a computer screen, printed drawings or documents
Ability to adhere to high standards of Safety and Compliance to regulation
Carrying/Lifting up to 10-35 pounds
Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), Handling, Kneeling, Bending at the waist, Reaching (overhead), Rotation of head/neck, Standing, Twisting at the waist and walking

Required

Ability to work a variable shift
Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as: flexion and extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching overhead, rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting)
Ability to carry/lift up to 10-35 pounds
Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals
6+ months experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications
6+ months experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading, and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English
6+ months experience in a technical or mechanical field performing work with basic hand, power and/or pneumatic (air) tools
6+ months of experience with the application of coatings, adhesives, or sealants by spray, roll, transferring or extrusion methods

Preferred

3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Completion of degree or certification from a trade school and/or A&P license
3+ years installing various aircraft system components such as tubing, valves, regulators, actuators, compressors, and ducts
3+ years in Automotive/Diesel/Heavy equipment mechanical experience
3+ years troubleshooting, service, repair and diagnose cooling systems & lubricating systems
3+ years with circuitry, electrical systems, lighting systems and their diagnostic equipment
3+ years with diagnosing and repairing basic hydraulic brake systems
