IMA Financial Group, Inc. is offering a Private Equity M&A Internship for the summer of 2026, providing a unique opportunity to immerse in their culture and gain experience in financial services. Interns will support the Private Equity & M&A team through various responsibilities including due diligence and analytics, while engaging with senior leaders and industry experts.

Responsibilities

Support the Private Equity & M&A specialty practice by assisting project managers throughout the due diligence process—from initial engagement to deal close

Review various documents including but not limited to; insurance policies, contracts, retirement plan documents, compliance testing, service agreements, investment lineups, and other related documents to help assess risk and fiduciary liability exposures for private equity investors and corporate clients undergoing mergers or acquisitions

Assist in developing analytics and generating due diligence reports for both Property & Casualty and Retirement Benefit programs using established tools, templates, and project management workflows

Gain exposure to intercompany functions by learning how various IMA teams collaborate to deliver comprehensive service during M&A transactions

Contribute to a large-scale “big picture” project aimed at improving project manager efficiency and enhancing day-to-day operational processes

Required

Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in a program related to one of our host departments (Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management and Insurance)

Previous work or internship experience in a professional services or similar environment

An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to problem-solve, think critically, and provide creative solutions

Preferred

Interest in insurance-related roles; involvement in insurance clubs or Gamma Iota Sigma

Students anticipated to graduate in Spring 2026, December 2026, or Spring 2027
