Responsibilities
Define and lead the enterprise-wide strategic procurement vision, roadmap, and operating model aligned with company growth, margin, and risk-management goals
Design, implement, and continuously refine procurement policies, standards, and processes
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing procurement team, including a Sr. Director of Procurement and Two Procurement Specialists
Establish and execute category strategies for major spend areas (e.g., equipment, construction, facilities, professional services, technology)
Own supplier segmentation, selection, onboarding, and performance management, including scorecards, and strategic business reviews
Lead contract strategy and high-impact negotiations to secure favorable commercial terms, service levels, and risk protections in collaboration with Legal and Finance
Partner with Operations, Construction, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to align specifications, standardize SKUs where appropriate, and optimize total cost of ownership
Oversee procurement data, analytics, and reporting to provide transparency into spend, savings, compliance, and supplier performance; use insights to drive decisions
Lead cost-optimization initiatives, including value engineering, standardization, vendor consolidation, and demand management
Monitor market trends, supply chain risks, and inflationary pressures; develop and execute mitigation strategies, dual-sourcing, and contingency plans for critical categories
Champion procurement technology and digital tools (e.g., e-sourcing, contract management, spend analytics) to improve efficiency, compliance, and user experience
Qualification
Required
10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain, with at least 3-5 years in a senior or executive leadership role
Proven track record leading or scaling a strategic procurement or sourcing function in a multi-site or multi-unit environment (e.g., fitness, retail, hospitality, restaurants, healthcare, or similar)
Demonstrated success driving material cost savings, total cost of ownership improvements, and supplier performance while supporting rapid growth and change
Significant experience in supplier relationship management, complex negotiations, category strategy, and procurement analytics
Experience building, leading, and developing multi-disciplinary procurement teams
High proficiency with procurement and ERP platforms, e-sourcing and contract tools, and spend analytics; advanced skills in Excel/Sheets or BI tools
Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively from the front line to the C-suite
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, CPM, CIPS) a plus
Experience in a high-growth, franchise, or private equity–backed company
Background in capital- and equipment-intensive environments (e.g., construction, multi-site build-outs, manufacturing, fitness or healthcare facilities) and value engineering
