Quality Engineer Sr - Micro-Electronics
Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) business area is seeking a Quality Engineer for our Micro-electronics Center (MEC) in Orlando, FL. The role involves developing quality standards and conducting inspections to ensure the quality of manufactured parts, while also leading technical investigations and implementing process improvements.

Responsibilities
Develops and reviews quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured parts
Reviews documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer
Leads and / or participates on Material Review Boards, Failure Review Boards, and other technical investigations
Identifies root cause of complex issues and ensures effective corrective / preventive action to improve processes
Develops and implements new inspection processes and automation methods
Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specification, engineering drawing, procedures and ISO-9001 / AS9100
Interfaces with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality related issues
Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement
Makes the final decision on acceptability of product
Qualification
Required
STEM Degree at a Bachelor level or above or equivalent experience/combined education
Must be able to obtain a secret clearance
Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection of manufactured products
Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred
STEM Degree at a Bachelor level or above
Experience in Six-Sigma green belt techniques and statistical process control methods
Discrete and/or Micro-electronics experience
J-STD-001/IPC-A-610 familiarization
Experience with material review board requirements, evaluating risk and impact to overall system requirements
Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques
