Responsibilities
Develop new games with opportunities for direct creative input
Port existing titles to new hardware platforms
Implement art, sound, and gameplay mechanics
Build out math logic with our mathematicians
Partner with QA to diagnose and resolve issues
Prepare documentation for certification labs
Lead innovation in gameplay and feature development
Contribute to architecture, technical designs, and postmortems
Analyze code and data to identify improvement opportunities
Mentor junior engineers
Qualification
Required
4+ years in Gameplay Engineering (or similar), with shipped titles
Proficiency in Java or object-oriented C/C++
Strong understanding of probabilities and statistics
Advanced debugging and optimization skills
Solid understanding of game design principles
Comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams
Able to adapt within a fluid, creative, iterative environment
Reliable, curious, and collaborative
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
True passion for making games
Preferred
Specialties such as low-level networking, HLSL, SSE assembly, etc
Strong linear algebra and 3D vector math knowledge
Experience with Perforce, 3D Studio Max, or OpenGL
Interest or expertise in AI, UI, animation, or gameplay systems
