USP Technologies - Field Service Technician (Alabama)

ChemTreat is part of USP Technologies, which develops innovative peroxygen technologies and full-service chemical treatment programs. They are seeking a Field Service Technician to perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on chemical pumps and plumbing systems, primarily supporting customers in Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana, with occasional travel to other states.

Responsibilities

Travel to customer or plant sites to perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on chemical pumps, plumbing systems, and field instrumentation
Inspect, test, and repair electrical circuits, instrumentation, and chemical metering systems, including reading schematics, P&IDs, and process flow diagrams
Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to resolve technical issues and ensure adherence to USP standard practices
Maintain accurate documentation of service performed, schedules, and any changes in project scope, using Microsoft Office and collaboration tools
Operate machinery such as forklifts when necessary and ensure compliance with all safety protocols and PPE requirements

Required

High school diploma with a minimum of 5 years' experience in field equipment service and chemical pump maintenance
Strong technical skills in plumbing, electrical circuits (120/208 VAC, single and three-phase), instrumentation (flowmeters, level sensors, VFDs, RTDs, thermocouples), and electrical troubleshooting
Ability to read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and BOMs
Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills; capable of managing own schedule and adapting to changes in project scope
Valid driver's license with a clean record and willingness to travel, including overnight stays and air travel when required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams) and familiarity with online collaboration tools
