Powertrain Technical Ops Intern

Responsibilities

Work directly with engineering and operations to keep day-to-day execution moving
Help bring order to chaos by documenting processes, creating work instructions, and improving workflows
Collect and analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks, quality issues, and improvement opportunities
Assist with inventory tracking, tooling organization, and material flow as we scale
Own small but meaningful projects end-to-end (from problem definition to implementation)

Required

Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
Comfortable in hands-on, fast-moving environments (shop floor, lab, prototype builds)
Strong problem-solving skills and a bias toward action
Organized thinker who can turn tribal knowledge into clear documentation
Comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities
Intermediate knowledge in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, NX, or similar)
Strong communicator who can work across engineering, operations, and leadership
Curious, resourceful, and not afraid to ask questions

Preferred

Familiarity with Excel/Google Sheets, CAD, Python, SQL, or basic data analysis
Exposure to lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement
