System Engineer, Level 3
Independent Software, Inc. is focused on collaboration, integrity, and innovation in supporting national security missions. The Systems Engineer will support all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle, working closely with users and cross-functional teams to design and sustain complex systems.

Responsibilities
Support all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle, from requirements analysis and architecture design through integration, testing, and sustainment
Design and modify system architectures and produce required documentation and drawing packages
Integrate hardware and software components to ensure systems meet functional and performance requirements
Develop system diagrams, network drawings, and architecture documentation using Visio or similar tools
Work in both Windows and Linux environments to support system operations and integration efforts
Perform basic system administration tasks in support of development, test, and operational environments
Collaborate closely with internal teams, users, and customers to support mission needs and system enhancements
Qualification
Required
Strong systems engineering experience, including the development of technical documentation and system artifacts
Hands-on experience with hardware and software integration
Experience working in both Windows and Linux operating environments
Proficiency with Visio or other diagramming and drawing applications
Basic system administration experience
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, mission-focused team environment
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and mission requirements
Bachelor's degree in a qualified engineering field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus six (6) years of systems engineering experience; or
High School Diploma or GED, plus ten (10) years of general systems engineering experience across any process area; or
Master's degree in a qualified engineering field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus four (4) years of systems engineering experience; or
PhD in a qualified engineering field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus two (2) years of systems engineering experience
Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
Preferred
Familiarity with Cisco and Juniper networking devices
Experience or exposure to Ansible and scripting languages for automation and configuration management
Experience supporting mission-critical or operational environments
