Riverfront Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is dedicated to creating a positive work environment for its staff. They are seeking a Receptionist who will manage the switchboard, greet visitors, and support clerical activities while ensuring high-quality service for residents and families.

Responsibilities

Prepares timecards and distributes them to appropriate departments

Collate medical charts

Orders supplies in accordance with procedures and budget allocations

Compiles reports and types general or technical material

Maintains current list of residents by name and room number, list of telephone numbers for all personnel, list of department extensions, names of key personnel and their extension numbers, physician kardex, and mail cards

Coordinates outgoing and incoming mail to facility

Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights

Performs other duties as requested

Required

High school degree or equivalent with college/business school coursework preferred

Must be able to read, write and understand the English language

Strong organizational skills

Ability to handle a variety of assignments, some of moderate complexity, requiring considerable familiarity with the operating details of the facility

Ability to interpret and apply departmental procedures

Present a well-groomed, professional image and be courteous and tactful at all times

Ability to operate a typewriter and/or computer

Show discretion in handling of confidential information

Have a pleasant and professional phone manner

Ability to positively interact with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public

Have well-developed verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently, problem solves and makes decisions as necessary

Provide annual verification of negative TB skin test
