Hamilton Company is a worldwide leader in the design and manufacture of precision fluid measuring products. They are seeking a Toolmaker to support production and prototyping by fabricating and repairing tools and fixtures, ensuring quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
Accountable for regular and consistent attendance
Contribute to continuous improvement activities
Adequate and timely completion of assigned tasks
Daily communication and documentation using Microsoft Office products
Maintain area and equipment cleanliness/organization
Report problems to Supervisor
Operate machinery in a safe consistent manner
Interface with supervisor and/or area lead regarding production orders
Ability to choose proper work holding, tooling and operation sequences dependent on part features and required tolerances
Perform in process part inspection using manual inspection equipment
Interface with inspection department regarding inspections that exceed the capabilities of manual inspection equipment
Complete daily documentation regarding count, inspection and machine maintenance
Deburr and package parts before they are moved to their next location
Create tool paths off of provided CAD models
Interpret G and M code
Indicate working holding and custom fixtures
Probing machine offsets and setting tool heights
Grind tool profiles when required for custom jobs
Interface with engineers to provide support for prototyping and fixture design
Able to work independently or without assistance
Provide support for other toolmakers in the area
Improve functions and activities of the model shop
Able to run majority of machines in Model Shop or highly proficient on specialized machine
Provide training support for new hires
Qualification
Required
Must have High School diploma or GED
5 + years of experience with various types of machining and manufacturing
A team player who collaborates
Familiar with safety features/dangers of machinery associated with tool building
Must possess competent verbal and written communication skills as required to interface with other departments and company personnel in a service function
Must be adaptable to changing work environment, competing demands and able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events
Must demonstrate excellent troubleshooting techniques and critical thinking skills
Competent in maintaining databases or archives of product counts and inspections
Knowledgeable of common CNC and manual machining practices
Ability to read drawings and specifications with a proficient understanding of GD& T
Knowledgeable of manufacturing practices for various materials
Knowledgeable of various machine tooling and tool holder types
Familiar with common fixture building practices and requirements
Ability to choose proper tooling, work holding and operation sequences dependent on required geometry tolerances
Proficient with CAM and CAD software
